Megjelent Cey-Bert Róbert Gyula legújabb könyve a Koppány – A fény harcosa címen, amelyet a Budapesten mutattak be, október 9-én.
A történelmi regény az Atilla, a hun üzenet és A pozsonyi csata című műveket követően a trilógia harmadik részét képezi, melyet a CBA magyar üzletlánc támogat.
„Koppány a magyar történelem félreértelmezett, elfeledett tragikus hőse. Életét és halálát a rágalmazás fekete fátyla fedi. A könyv lerántja a több mint ezer éve szőtt fátylat, és bemutatja az igazi Koppányt, a nemzet érdekeiért harcba szálló szabadsághőst” – olvasható a könyv hátulján.
Püski István a Püski kiadó egyik tulajdonosa kezdte a könyv és a szerző méltatását, ugyanis a könyv a kiadó gondozásában jelent meg. „Öröm számomra, hogy ennek a munkának részese lehetek és segíthetek abban, hogy a Püski kiadó hagyománya szerint a magyarság elméjében, lelkében emelkedés történjen” – fogalmazott Püski István, aki arról is beszámolt, hogy a Pozsonyi csata című könyvből a megjelenéstől eltelt egy év alatt 5000 példányt adtak el. A kiadó tulajdonosa azt is elárulta, hogy Cey-Bert Róbert Gyula következő trilógiájának a témája a török idők lesz. „Ez a kor is tartogat sok meglepetést, hiszen számos ferdítés olvasható a történelemkönyvekben” – magyarázta.
Vermes István gútai lovasíjász bajnok beszámolt arról, hogy Koppány névnapján, október 8-án szűk baráti körben összegyűltek Somogyban Cey-Bert Róbert Gyulánál. Az egyetemi tanár, író, költő lelki fiává fogadta Vermes Istvánt, a Koppány nevet adta neki, és felkérte, hogy alapítsa meg a Koppány Lovagrendet. „Most már István Koppány vagyok, és a két ellentétes név egy jelkép és kihívás számomra, ami a kettőséget szimbolizálja, hogy legyek harmóniában önmagammal. A rendi munkára is ezt a harmóniát szeretném sugározni” – mondta Vermes István Koppány.

Bárdi László, a Pécsi tudományegyetem Ázsia Központjának alapító igazgatója szerint a szerző a modern történelmi regényírás ikonikus alakja. Úgy látja, hogy nem csak felhívta a figyelmet Atillára, Árpádra és Koppányra, hanem pótolta a történelmi hiányosságokat is. „Róbert érdeme, hogy tudta követni mindazt, ami a források mögött van. Segített leporolni a kicsit egyhangúvá, porossá meredt képeket és élettel töltötte meg azokat” – magyarázta Bárdi László – „Koppányról kiderült, hogy nem egyszerű pogány lázadó, hanem a keleti hagyományokat következetesen képviselte.”
A szerző testvére, Czeibert Lajos történész ismertette a szerző kalandos életét, aki az 1956-os forradalom után kénytelen volt elhagyni Magyarországot és csak 1996-ban költözött vissza. Tanulmányait követően élt, dolgozott és tanult keleten: Ujguriában, Tibetben, Mongóliában, Burmában, Laoszban és Thaiföldön. Cey-Bert Róbert Gyula megfogadta, hogy ha hazatér, akkor minden tudását, tapasztalatát az ország javára fordítja.
Testvére azt is elárulta, hogy féltette Róbertet a Koppány témától. Mindezt azért, hogy „vajon erre megfelelő befogadókészség Magyarországon 2014-ben? A gondolatmenet, ami végigvonul a könyvön nagyon időszerű most a jövő nemzedékének” – jelentette ki a történész.
Cey-Bert Róbert Gyula beszámolt arról, hogy az első Koppány emlékmű Magyarországon a Somogy megyében, Bárdudvarnokon állították fel 1997-ben, a Koppány halálának ezredik évfordulóján. Felvázolta Koppány és István viszályának igazi okát, amely nem a pogány-keresztény ellentét volt, hanem hatalmi harc, háború a németek és a magyarok között. Ezt bizonyítja a 997-ben íródott Pannonhalmi Alapítólevél is. Minderről a könyvben részletesen lehet olvasni. A szerző az életben számos kihívással állt szemben, mindezt a mai napig tapasztalja, de tudja, hogy az élet harc. Mindezt megtanulta és mindig benne él. „Atilla mondását követem, ami életemnek egy fontos meghatározója: »Az élet harc és harc az élet. Ne add fel soha! Csak az veszít, aki elveszti hitét és elfogadja magában a vereséget.« A vereséget soha nem fogom elfogadni, mindig harcolni fogok” – fejezte be beszédét Cey-Bert Róbert Gyula.
